???? ??????? ????????

June 24, 2023

We will be on the southwest corner of the City Park by the sign.

Come a little early as the presentation will start promptly at 1pm.

Jayda Yager will be sharing how the 8th grade class planned this project and how they chose what items they would include.

There will be extra room in the capsule so if you or your business have something that you would like to include, please bring it with you. Make sure it coincides with Wilber and current times.

Hope to see you all there!

Etch Your Name in Wilber’s History

December 14, 2022

Have you heard???? This year Wilber turns 150 and we are throwing a party! We are looking for talented students, residents, past residents, art enthusiasts and hobbyists to help us to create a logo for the event. The logo will be used on all marketing materials and publications, commemorative items, to name a few. If your logo is chosen, your name will be etched in history through your work. See all of the details of entry below.

For more information or to submit your entry, email Shanon Meyer at smeyercityofwilber@outlook.com.

Eligibility

  3. Color must be CMYK, though the logo may also be reproduced in black and white. Contestants are advised to avoid gradients and half-tones.  No more than four colors should be used in the design.
  4. The logo must be easy to use, handle, resize, and manipulate for all reproduction purposes. It should be visually appealing on both small (as small as 2 cm x 2 cm) and large scales.

  4. If the winner is determined to have violated any rules, he/she will be required to forfeit or return the prize, even if the determination is made after the prize has been awarded.

Determination of Winner and Prize

  1. The winning entry will be selected by a panel comprised of the organizing committee members. Their decision will be final and no further correspondence shall be entered into.
  2. Entries will be judged on their visual appeal, quality of design, and ease of reproduction for the purposes stated above.
  3. A winner will be selected and notified via email by late January 2023.
  4. Although there is no cash prize for the winning entry, the artist will be acknowledged during the conference, in the website and printed program, and receive a commemorative item from the event with their logo.
