Pool Passes on Sale Now!

May 17, 2023

?2023 Pool Passes are now available!!!! If you have questions other than those listed below, contact the City Office at 402.821.3233.

Here are some answers to questions that we typically get around pool passes.

Q: Can a cousin, grandparents, babysitter, be put on a Family Pass?
A: No. The Family Pass is only for immediate family members within the direct household. We do offer a 10-punch pass however if these people may be coming to the pool with your child on occasion. These passes can be used for anyone.

Q: What are pool hours?
A: The pool will open at 1:00p (weather permitting), Monday through Sunday. Family hour is 5:00p – 6:00p and the pool closes each day at 8:00p.

Q: What weather conditions prevent the opening of the pool?
A: If the temperature is going to be below 70 degrees, lightning, etc.

Q: Are there any other reasons that the pool would be closed?
A: Yes. There are times when things break down that required us to close the pool for the safety of our guests. This is also the case should there be a contamination in the pool.

Q: Do children have to be accompanied by an adult?
A: Yes, if they are under the age of 7. Michelle and her guards offer swimming lessons which is not required but highly recommended if your child is going to be coming to the pool unaccompanied.

Q: Do they need to bring their pool pass with them each day?
A: No, but they will need their pass number as they will need to sign in each time they come to the pool with their pass number and name.

March 21, 2023

Wilber’s City Council met on March 14th and were honored to have some special guests. Holly Murkle and Decker Truka were there to receive an official document, signed by the Mayor Chrans, proclaiming March 21, 2023 as World Down Syndrome Day in Wilber, NE

As stated in the proclamation, Down Syndrome is a genetic anomaly caused by an extra copy of the twenty-first chromosome. March 21 has come to represent 3 copies of chromosome 21 and has developed into a movement to celebrate and value people with Down Syndrome around the world and now is officially to be recognized in Wilber, NE. Mayor Chrans encourages the residents of Wilber and beyond to not only observe the day, but also use it as an opportunity to research and learn more about Down Syndrome and celebrate those that people with Down Syndrome.

2023 Resident Reporting

February 14, 2023

On a regular basis the State of Nebraska, Department of Health & Department of Environment and Energy, require municipalities to get information from their residents to ensure healthy conditions are in place and any needed updates have been put in place to stay in compliance with State statutes and guidelines.

All Wilber residents should have received two surveys to complete with your February utility bill. On is the Cross Connection Control. This survey is used to help the City of Wilber prevent any accidental contamination of your drinking water. The second survey is to determine if you have a Lead Service Lead which also ensures that your drinking water is safe to drink and expose your family to.

If you did not return your surveys yet, we now have an option to complete them online or upload your completed paper form or you can still drop them off at the City Office. Please visit the 2023 Resident Reporting Page on our website.

If you have questions regarding either of the surveys, please contact Jason Ripa at 402.821.3233
